This Story Deserves Your Attention
NY-KEEPERS was born as an idea in mid-2020, in New York City, amidst a time filled with uncertainty and fear due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We were driven by our passion for soccer and the desire to excel as goalkeepers, which is how we started this project. Initially, we focused on sharing our knowledge and techniques on soccer goalkeeper training through educational videos on social media. This is how the name NY-KEEPERS came about, reflecting both our connection to the city and our passion for protecting the goal.
Evolution of the idea
As the project grew and gained attention, we realized there was an opportunity to take our vision one step further: developing products specifically designed for soccer goalkeepers. This is how NYK was born, our goalkeeper brand, whose main product is goalkeeper gloves. We wanted to offer products that were not only affordable, but also high-quality and performant, at reasonable prices. In July 2021, NY-KEEPERS was incorporated as a company in the state of New York, formalizing our dream into a real business project.

First Social Work
Our first social effort came very early, even before the company was generating profits. But we have always carried within our hearts the desire to help. From the very first month after creating our Instagram account, as if it were fate, we came across a young man from the province of Accra in Ghana. His name was Prince Sossa, a passionate goalkeeper, and we saw him training in conditions we had never imagined. With very limited resources, Prince would kick balls against truck tires and work on his agility with the rebounds. We could see the field where he trained: a ground of sand and mud where, along with his friends from the community, he practiced to improve his technique.
Seeing this made us feel that we had to do something for him. We decided to help, and after several attempts to contact him through Instagram, we finally managed to exchange words. Prince accepted our help, and we sent him $100 so he could buy a pair of Adidas gloves. Unfortunately for Prince, the $100 wasn’t enough; the gloves cost $150, and he had to make an extra effort to cover the difference. From that moment, Prince earned a place in the heart of NY-KEEPERS, and our support for him didn’t stop there.
Later, when our company had its own gloves, we sent him 5 pairs, not only for him but also for his friends in Accra. But the help didn’t stop there. We always look for ways to continue supporting these young players because their dream is to become professional goalkeepers, even though they live in a place where opportunities are almost nonexistent. For us, even if it’s with the smallest effort, there will always be something we can do to help them.

More of Our Story
In 2021, NY-KEEPERS expanded to Colombia, Paraguay, and Venezuela, where we successfully met the needs of many goalkeepers in the region. In Colombia, we achieved an important milestone by selling more than 1,500 pairs of gloves in our first year. That same year, thanks to a close collaboration with Sandra Sepúlveda, legend of the Colombia Women’s National Team, NY-KEEPERS won its first title as a glove brand in the Colombian Women’s Professional League.
Our story didn’t stop there. In 2023, we lifted another title, this time with Venezuelan goalkeeper Yessica Velásquez, who plays for Club Independiente Santa Fe in Colombia. Today, we proudly say that many professional goalkeepers have joined our brand, carrying the NY-KEEPERS badge in every match, giving their best to achieve victory.
We knocked on doors in Mexico in 2023, where we have been gaining strong recognition within the goalkeeper community, who acknowledge the high quality of our brand.
However, we also recognize all the amateur goalkeepers who, with great effort, have trusted in our gloves. With every save, they’ve elevated our badge to new heights. To all of them, professionals and amateurs alike: we are here for you.

Why Goalkeeper Gloves?
From the beginning, we identified a clear problem in the market: the big brands offered excellent quality gloves, but at very high prices, largely due to their association with world-renowned professional goalkeepers. This left many amateur and aspiring players with limited options. At NY-KEEPERS, we set out to change this by offering high-quality gloves at affordable prices, so that any goalkeeper, regardless of their level or budget, could have the right equipment.
Our Mission
Although we are new to a very competitive market, at NY-KEEPERS we have a clear vision: we believe that all goalkeepers deserve high-performance, quality products without having to pay exorbitant prices. We focus on designing each NYK glove with the necessary components to meet the demands of our consumers, from gloves for kids to high-end professional gloves.
